I have opened Artisanal Spa based on decades of skin care research. My believe is that skin care is more than "skin deep"...each treatment you receive will give you a deeply relaxing, refreshing and soothing experience. More than ever, we are more stressed, eating poorly, not sleeping at least 8 hours, and over-medicated. Our skin is a reflexion, most of the times, of what is happening at a deeper level in our bodies.
Proper skin care is so much more than having clear, smooth skin. It is also about the art of deeply relaxing. I specialize in treating each client like the unique person they are, and accordingly do not follow a "cookie-cutter" approach so often taken in spas.
The products I use are organic, with fresh, lush, natural scents that come from flowers, herbs and plants, not from a chemist's laboratory. The reason so many people are allergic to most scents today is because these scents are a potent chemical mix that are known to cause a variety of sensitivities...rashes, coughs, sneezing, itching, redness, and more internally. Combine these artificial scents with the thousands of untested chemicals in almost all skin care products, and it's easy to see why many people have allergic symptoms. Most women use an average of 16 different products each day containing thousands of chemicals! Unfortunately, almost none of the cosmeceutical products are tested by either the manufacturer or the FDA.
That is why it is vital to use only the purest organic products possible. At Artisanal, in order for a product to be recommended, it must pass these standards:
